-
Goodwill is an active member of local Chambers of
Commerce, participating in events, issues, and committees.
-
Professional organizations provide opportunities for
staff to gain additional knowledge and tools. Goodwill is represented
in such organizations as The National Human Resource Management
Association, the Public Relations Society of America/Spokane Public
Relations Council, the National Rehabilitation Association, the National
Purchasing Management Association, and the Inland Northwest Development
Council.
-
Goodwill staff engage in activities and programs with
local school districts and colleges throughout the region.
-
Partnerships with businesses benefit our communities
through donation drives and training and employment opportunities for
participants in Goodwill’s programs.
-
In cooperation with many public and private agencies,
Goodwill also enhances opportunities for participants to build
independence. Individuals facing barriers such as ex-offender status or
dependence on public assistance may receive a helping hand to
self-sufficiency.
-
Goodwill partners with other nonprofits, such as food
banks and senior centers, in civic events and special projects such as
community Thanksgiving dinners.
