Happens to Your Donations
Have you ever
wondered what happens to reusable items you donate to Goodwill?
Every time you donate to
Goodwill,
you help someone build independence.
Household goods are
collected by Goodwill employees at our stores and at Attended Donation
Centers located throughout the Inland Northwest.
(For locations, please see “Where to Donate”
on this site.)
The items are sorted by category then processed for sale in our retail
stores. Experienced employees price them as low as possible so our
customers can find great bargains of every type!
Items are transported among our 12 retail locations as necessary to
make sure there is a good selection in each area throughout the year.
Proceeds from the sale of donated goods help fund Goodwill’s Workforce
Development and Social Services. Each year Goodwill helps more than
3100 people with disabilities and disadvantages build independence
through training, employment, and education.
Our success would not be possible without people in the community who
give gently used items to Goodwill. Something you may no longer use
becomes someone else’s great find.
