WHAT WE CAN ACCEPT

Goodwill gratefully receives reusable goods from people and businesses in communities throughout the Inland Northwest.

When you donate something you can no longer use---but someone else may like to have---you help fund Goodwill’s programs that help people with disabilities and disadvantages build independence.

And instead of throwing reusable items away, you help our environment!

Items that are especially valued:

  • Furniture that is in good condition

  • Housewares such as lamps, dishes, decorative accessories

  • Art and collectibles

  • Toys and books in good condition

  • Small electrical appliances and electronics such as working VCRs and TVs

  • Sporting goods

  • Clothing, shoes, coats, and sportswear in good repair

  • Linens that are clean and are not ripped or stained

Some items are not practical, safe, or legal for us to process.

We regret having to decline any donated goods and appreciate your understanding.
These items include:

  • Paint and chemicals

  • Large appliances (refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, water softeners, gas/electric stoves, or hot water tanks)

  • Stained, torn or damaged coil mattresses (nor any Beauty Rest mattresses because of the separate coils)

  • Tubs, toilets or sinks

  • Stained or soiled carpets

  • Tires or rims

If you have items to donate and are not sure if we can accept them, please contact the Goodwill nearest you.  We appreciate people in our communities who support our efforts to reuse everything we can while keeping our disposal costs as low as possible.

Every dollar we spend on disposal fees -- is a dollar that could have assisted our constituents.

Thanks for your support!
